I don't know why anybody would do that, you have made the beginnings of one of the greatest sleepers of all time, and now you are going to spend MORE time to make it into a Corvette body kit? IIRC the dash was semi necessary, but the badges had no excuse.

Here's my sleeper, looks kinda stock but has a big-ol rat motor. I went to a car show yesterday and ended up racing/smokin a couple unsuspecting jap-tuner cars on the way home.

Early 70's 402 big block Chevy with 10-1 compression / 270 comp cam-Lifters / 750 Holley / B-M built turbo-350 w/Hughes high-stall converter / 355 gears and a righteously massaged suspension that hooks up really well off the line. 57 sedan/post models like mine are also a little lighter than the hard top or convertible models.

Not sure, I never took it to the drags. I was trying to sell it at the car show yesterday and had a couple diferent dudes from Canada that seemed very interested and said they might buy it sometime this week. Maybe you'll see it at a drag strip up there sometime...

i was pretty fond of my friend's old jeep cherokee 2wd with a 4.6l stroker,5 speed, turbo/intercooled with a ford 8.8 out of an explorer with 4.10 gears and the factory limited slip!
it was way faster than it looked, and people usually thought the sound of the turbo meant something was wrong with it!:D
the one i had that wasn't even turbo'd would smoke just about any stock mustang or camaro that came around, and mine was 4wd! i just had low gears, a five speed, and the same stroker my buddy had, less the turbo. it wasn't worth much for really high speeds, but in the 1/4 mile, it would make some people say 'woa'. nobody saw it coming!

Did that happen to be Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale?

Na, but I was hanging out at a huge (weekly) car show we have here thats just down the street from there. Lots of classic car buyers were cruising the whole Scottsdale area looking to pick up bargains that didnt make it into the Barrett auction. I had about 10 diferent potental buyers that seemed prety interested but we'll see if any of them actualy call me back.

a 22 year old (factory) paint job. Lowered a bit, and different wheels is what the exterior shows.

The interior is also 22 years old but better kept. No stereo, no speakers, the rest of the interior is there though. A boost gauge is where the ash tray used to be.

Just over 400hp to the wheels, and a bit more than $6,000 put into the engine and turbo. Flowmaster exhaust makes it rumble quite a bit for an inline 6.

Inline 6 in anything is always win. I can't wait until I can find a good 4bbl carb to go with the Clifford Racing intake I bought for my Ford 300ci 6. Also gonna fab up a dual exhaust set up using late-model exhaust manifolds, since they are split and flow much more like headers than the stock 1 outlet log manifold. If I had unlimited dough my truck would probably end up with a cam swap, P&P head with SBC valves, maybe some sort of turbo setup, and a ZF 5speed trans to back it up. Drop in a late model Ford P71 Interceptor front suspension, and a rear bag set up and it'd be good to go. I doubt anyone would think twice seeing a sunburnt old farm truck with rusted out mufflers and sagging springs pull up to a stoplight. :roflol:
