I'm not sure how subtle changes in the ways suspects are informed of their rights makes people criminals. Miranda is case law, meaning that it is the way a court interpreted constitutional protections provide for in the constitution and it's subsequent amendments at one point in time. There is no legislature involved in case law - only the courts. There have been minor adjustments since the original ruling but it stands today very much as it did when it came out.

I'm not sure what concerns you about this - do you believe police should not only inform suspects of their rights but also insist that they make the most effective use of them? Or do you believe Miranda only serves to protect criminals? What exactly is your beef?

The old what was fine? The old court ruling? They didn't hire a judge and other courtroom staff just so they could consider this case - they're already on the books and this is what they do - this is why they exist. I'm not sure how you think not hearing this or any other case would save tax money, but I'd be interested to know.

Enlighten me.
