Yerfdog adjustments

I just bought a nice used yerfdog gocart... Motor starts fine and I believe I have the correct belt with flat side towards the engine... When you give it gas the first pulley causes the belt to create tension but not enough power to make it move... I suspect the torque converter with the green spring. Is there a way to try and adjust the spring tension before replacing anything? Any tips or help would be appreciated... I am new to forum and gocarts...lol

I think you ahould sart with cleaning it. There is a thread on here that tells youi how to clean them, but IDK where.

^ Try cleaning first and see what happens. After that if it still doesn't work, we will get you sorted

Sound like the torque converter is dirty or maybe the belt is worn down and not wide enough to kick in correctly...if it is a 30 series converter the belt should be 3/4" wide
