Hey guys I'm looking into upgrading my front suspension because it's horrible but what I'm doing is I'm replace my spindles my a arms and my shock absorbers I have spindles and my shock absorbers picked out and the last thing I need to obtain are my a arms obviously and these come in two different styles one with a straight part where the spindle attaches and another where the weld is 15 degrees offset to change the camber but with my really beefy shocks will that even matter . Am I better off getting the straight a arms? To go even further into depth with this I will explain that if you look at the front of my go kart yerf dog 3203 ((((this is with the straight a arm I have currently))))when I am not sitting on the kart the a arms are slightly tilted downward from the pressure of the shocks and the wheels have some positive camber and then I am heavy enough that when I sit on the go kart (I'm 140 lbs) the a arms become parallel with the ground and the wheels have zero camber but when I sit two people on the kart or more :) the a arms become tilted and the shocks bottom out and my wheel camber is negetive ))()()(())()() ok now I'm wondering if I get straight a arms and I put the beefy shocks on the kart which have a 500 lb capacity will the sink down to a zero camber with my weigh on the kart or will I need the 15 degree a arms in order to compensate for the new beefed up shocks that I have ***keep in mind that I want to have either a zero camber or negetive camber not positive camber ( the bottom of the wheels to tilt outward)

First, pet peeve of many here in the forum: please do not make consecutive posts minutes apart. Just click the edit button on a post to add in more info.

Now my question: why change the a-arms at all? Why not just get upgraded shocks and be done with it? Sace you an extra what $30 each a-arm + shipping? The ones you have are good correct? Why change them then if they're not destroyed?

Well the reason is because that picture is not of my kart ... My kart has a arms that had had previously been broken where the spindle attaches and had been welded back on but was welded badly and since the strength has been comprised and I'm not a very experienced in the area of fabrication or welding for that matter I've decided to just buy new a arms and since I was in the area I just was like well let me just replace the whole thing .... And will do that's for the enlightenment about the edit feature ... Sorry I'm new to the forum:lolgoku:

Not a problem, just trying to save you from getting yelled at from other members lol.

I would say stay original to the kart, get the same and upgrade the shocks. Then againore experienced members may disagree because the strength of the shocs would change the standing camber.

I ended up Going with the straight a arms as the did have a better fit ... And the worked fine for the application with the beefy shocks

Where did you get your shocks? I'd like to replace mine but my 3206 looks weak where front carrier attaches to the floor pan. I probably should reinforce that and fix my control arms first.
