yerf dog torque converter

I'm needing to replace the torque converter on my yerf dog I just bought, I have never messed with one of these before...I found what I think is a decent priced one on BMI Karts and Supplies. does anyone have any suggestions for me? im not even sure which one I need or how to find out which one I need.

Welcome,
tell us about the engine (HP, shaft size) to make a judgement.

basically: below 8HP (like a gx200 clone, Predator 212) get a series30 TC with a 3/4" shaft but check your shaft first to make sure it's 3/4".

above 8HP get a series 40 to be on the safe side, it's more expensive but it'll be worth it.

The best advice I would like to give is:
if possible,do not replace your TC but repair it.. almost all parts are available and most of the time it's just one or two that needs to be replaced.
much cheaper, and you learned something on the way

Thanks, I finally figured it out. I have the 3202 with a 6.5 go motor. The owner before me spot welded the TC to the shaft, I ordered and new TC and a jack shaft with sprocket....I'm hoping this will be all.

Yes I ordered a new jack shaft, TC, and sprocket. I put all this on and I started it up and the **** thing took off.... WITH NO DRIVER.....now I don't know what the issue is....... Belt too tight?

can you roll the cart back and forth without the engine spining with it ? if it does or belt is to small or to tight. your engine my be runing at a hi idle.

I can roll it about 5 inches back and forth and it he engine won't spin...but after that it will...

There are several types of belts for comets. You might have a small belt. POST PICS or tell us which one you got
