Hi guys. I need help determining whether it's OK to cut off this bar or not. As shown in the picture, it wastes alot of the precious legroom for the passenger (which is quite scarce to begin with :lolgoku:)
I have no idea if this will ruin the structural integrity but seeing as there is not one on the drivers side, i would guess it is in there simply as a footrest (it was designed for little kids after all)
Any thoughts on how this would make any difference?

Shouldn't hurt a thing IMHO , i would cut it out if I didn't need a foot rest. Someone may say different but that's JMO . Most 2 seater karts have that or some type of foot rest for the passenger.

Well.....it wouldn't hurt the structural integrity......but you need it....you can move it....but not eliminate it.....(at least it's not a good idea)....

First....it's protecting the battery and cables.....so you need to relocate the battery first......second, without it....it's only a matter of time until the tie rod becomes a foot rest....intentionally or unavoidably.....

What is that extra piece of tubing there under the front end ? Up close to the front of the frame.

I can't tell which one you're asking about. Are you talking about the A-arm?

I'm actually going to put the battery in the open space in the very front so sorry for the confusion with that.

So I'm good to cut it off, just making sure no one steps on the tie rod.

Thanks for the input everyone. I'll cut off the bar and attach some kind of guard that protects the tie rod without shortening the legroom

Cut it off and if you want you can just weld some kind if foot plate at the end, so then they can have a foot rest and it will keep people off the the rods also. JMO
