Hi i recently had a problem with the alignment of my chain and it kept falling off so i tried to move the sprocket over but it is so rusted it was impossible to move. So instead i had made new motor mounts that i can adjust to realign the chain. But whenever i went to test my fix the chain stayed on fine but it seemed like i had lost all my speed or power.

Is the axle sprocket tightened down on the axle? You said you tried to move it but it wouldn't budge. I don't see a connection of moving the engine and power loss. Is the throttle moving fully? Maybe the throttle linkage got shortened and your not reving the engine high enough.

Stopping is a natural side effect of taking your foot off the gas. How fast does it stop? And scraping noises? If you take the tires off the ground how easy is it to spin the wheels? You check the oil recently?

it stops much faster than it regularly would. I had both the back wheels off the ground with a wooden block and they both move when in idle.

Could this be the problem, because when i was looking over it i noticed one of the black rubber things had been ripped off and the rest had been scraped down.

This is a picture of the torque convertor and it seems like whenever i spin the wheels i do hear a scraping noise but i wasnt sure if it was just the chain

oh ok well i was looking at it earlier and took off the torque convertor and put it back on and it had fixed the feeling that it would not "run" when i let off the gas. I guess im going to buy a new one.
