it only dies when u stop the kart. because the driver is engageing and when i stop it stops the belt but since the driver is still engages when i break it stranes the engine and it dies.

like when its on the ground and i break it kills the engine. also if its jacked up it does the same

I could be wrong but I think that bushing is okay sliding. A little bit that is. Double check though. About welding the rivits? Not sure on that one.

If the rivits are lose I would look that clutch over good.

If all fail here is a yerf dog driven starting at $10

http://cgi.ebay.com/COMET-20-P3-DRI.../360355403056?pt=Go_Karts&hash=item53e6db1530

And some for $60 and $80.

Perhaps you can get that $10 one cheap.

Use small aircraft spacer washers to prevent jamming and this action. It will not allow the idler bushing to slide inside the clutch and prevent jamming with larger belts. The washers should be 3/4" id and no larger in od that the clutch main body should be able to slide over it very easily.

The driven clutch on that plate you posted to is an A-Symmetrical series 30 driven clutch 7" diameter and 5/8" bore. The Max-Torque clutches are Symmetrical and in no way compatible with the series 30 Comet.
