Those are rivits or like rivits. I would try to fix it with some grade 8 machine bolts. The problems the clutch/belt side has to be smooth for the belt to ride on. You cannot have bolts sticking out. This is why the used the rivits. Not sure if you can find a person with a rivit gun that big. I sure don't.

If you do weld it make sure the brands or rivits are smooth on the belt side. That slack has to be someplace. See if you can weld just the rivits and not on the face part of the clutch. This way you could still grind the brands off. If you do weld the face. Just tac weld in a about 6 spots. No heavy welds. You may have to fix it someday.

Best wait for other help though man.

thats what im saying. welding it is simpler.

I would PM Blaze if I was in your shoes right now.

Just thinking though, Do not get the plate hot. You could warp it. Just tac weld it then let it cool. If you do weld it and not the brands the brands could stick out and hit the belt if the belt even goes that low on the plates. Just make sure the brands are not sticking out on the belt side. Before you weld grind the area to bare metal. Those parts my have a coating that could make your weld suck. Also are the brands steel?

Wire that light? You need a power wire coming out of the motor to do that. Your motor does not have that option. To run that light you need a battery. You just have to charge it.

I put LED lights on my bar stool racer. They use little power and would run for a few days on one charge.

I used an Old Makita battery. I usd the old charger base for the holder. I cut the base in half along with the circuit board inside. I then solder the POS and NEG to the tabs inside the base. When I needed a charge I just pop it out and charge it. easy to carry extra battery as well. You could do this with any drill battery and charger base I would think.

This tall makita battey also doubles as a chain guard. worked great along with the top gaurd. Notice how the rider could not get caught in the clutch.

So the brands are broke off between the plates? Pull the cam off and the removable face and see what it looks like. Are you sure the brands are not just lose? Heat them up and smash then flat again. Not sure how they install those big ol things.

I am inspired by your Milatary Ody. i might paint it all army green.(what is the technical name for that color?) then where the 3 is put a white star. then an Antenna with a american flag hanging off of it.

i know it sounds very simler if not the exact same thing but it would fit my kart so well.

See.
