New here so sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I picked up a yerf-dog 3002 (according to the seller) for my son yesterday - was told it was about 5 to 7 years old but the seller is the 2nd owner - think it is older though based on engine mfg date of 06/98 (mud had this covered at purchase)- but am happy with the purchase as it appears to be well cared for and in great shape compared to others I looked at. Steering is harder than I remember as a child on my go-kart - but mine was a lot smaller and lighter with smaller tires and clutch/drive wheel vs. tc/live axle.

The front shocks seem to be shot as they are maxed out in adjustment and front is cambered in at the top without a rider - where do I get these from/part number - they appear to be 12" eye to eye. I was also wondering if a larger steering wheel would help young child with steering - I think it has the 10" steering wheel and was thinking of moving up to a 12"+.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Still Need Help

After looking through your site I called BMI and tried to find out about the appropriate shock - the part number per the manual I downloaded is no longer available and the lady helping me said I might want to try a certain part if I though the specs would work (but she did not know and there was no one there that would know) - the mounting thickness is thicker and the eye hole is larger - I really don't want to make a "guestimate" and place an order on a part from BMI if they are not sure if it will work or not. I also noticed that the number in the Yerf-Dog manual for parts direct is the number for BMI so I am at a loss. with enough beating, banging and drilling I am sure it will fit - Any other thoughts on this and the steering wheel are appreciated.

Thanks
