The belts on my yerf dog are really loose...the kids only drive off pavement and bounce around ALOT. Wondering 2 things...

1- what could I replace the 3 point belts with that would be made tight (4 point suggestions)?

2- how do you add a kill switch? (Has a regular key right now).

Thanks!!

Unplug the low oil sensor from the little gold box.... hookup inline to ground to a momentary pushbutton switch, and put it where you would like. Make sure you cover up the connection of the extending wire from the gold box wire(if it grounds it will stop the engine... someone has already had this happen to them....)

Does the keyed kill switch work? If so, just replace it with your choice of switch. As far as safety belts, what kind of problem are you having with them? I know the belts on mine aren't the greatest, and it is hard to take up enough slack to get the belt on my little girl. You might look at summit racing or jegs for some sort of 4 point harnesses.

Thanks. Yeah the keyed switch works. Was thinking maybe a kill key like a jetski has or something? Goes around the drivers wrist...overkill perhaps

The seatbelts are just loose. They probably work if the thing flipped but they don't really tighten you into the seat if you know what I mean?

Just an idea...I think they make kill switches like you are thinking...but I have considered using the switch from a breakaway kit for a trailer. When the pin pulls out of it, it closes the circuit thus grounding the kill circuit. I haven't priced the kits for karts and such...so they may be cheaper, just a thought.

Those things don't exactly pull out easy enough, by the time it did you may actually break a small child's arm. :smiley_omg:
