This is my first Kart build, strip down and start from scratch. Gonna drop a 420 Predator in it, this is how were looking so far.

G-O-L-D I think we’re dealing with an expert here, a man who can live off the land and eat things that would make a billygoat puke. Uh oh.

Tell us more. How did you get to this point?

Beautiful paint job. A tip before you throw that 420 in there. Either brace your motor mount between the rear of the frame and the front of the mount, or add a 3rd bearing from one side of the motor mount to the axle. I did the 3rd bearing on mine. But not until it had thrown the chain numerous times. The weight of the 420 is more than double of whatever came in the kart originally. I thought I had mine strong enough. Every time it hit a good bump, or when the grandkids threw it into a hard corner ( on dirt ) and the back end started to hop, off came the chain. Believe me, I tried super alignment, tight chain, loose chain, bla bla bla. The 3rd bearing ( stiffening the axle tremendously ) fixed it instantly.
