Sorry, that's going to be a tough task.. AFAIK BMI got the license (and the spares) when yerf dog went out of businiess..
So there is little to no one left having parts other than BMI.

the site I linked above (kart-mart) claims to have some parts left, but that's about the only I could find having a yerf dog specific brake band, cable or drum listed.

generics are as Tony said available almost anywhere..
like OMBwarehouse.com just to name one more ;)

so i cleaned the driver of my comet . parts now move/slide freely.... tomorrow my new tc kit comes but before i open it want to see if this fixes the issues im having ...

when i installed the new belt it was tight with little slack . after hour so riding the belt stretched i guess bc i can now take the belt off an on without removing the driver . theres belt dust all over the motor now . also the kart shudders real bad while driving prior to me cleaning the driver.... why did the belt become loose????

i have not tested the cleaning of the driver yet. i drained the oil and need to pick some up tomorrow . how do i clean the driven? is it hard to do?

Perhaps you missed this:

Given that the belt is assymetrical, you may have fitted it backwards...

3.. that gives the highest possible torque setting (i.e. keeping lowest gear ratio as long as possible)
where as 1 shifts the soonest, and two for the average joe somewhere in the middle ;)

I don't think so,
in fact it should reduce beltwear.
since the kart will be in a lower ratio for a longer time, it can accelerate more easily and overcome road inclination mass inertia and stuff;
also the driven is grabbing harder on the belt
(and slip is what wears the belt, not friction - just like car tyres ;))

Anyways.. going off road will cause many things to increase beltwear
starting from higher rolling resistances on dirt than you'd have on tarmac,
potholes act like small hills that have to be climed (road inclination) etc.pp.

So, it's better to have it at three than at 2 if you can make use of the additional torque
(or more precise increased torque-time ;))
but I'd say it'll still wear faster than on a kart meant to ride on asphalt ;)

Please help. .. what tool do I need to take a c clip off the tc it's like a c an has two tiny holes in it . What's that tool called

Snap ring pliers - or one or two appropriately-sized screwdrivers with careful technique. You tease it open and up and out without bending too much or the snap ring will snap.

I thought the driver is the part I lube? Driver is the one with the weights in it right? Also here's my new setup installed. . New tc, chain, brake band, brakes still don't stop very good though
