Just bought 2 yerf dogs for grandkids. Trying to figure out how to properly install the gas cable to the engine. I bought the 2 spring kit for the 6.5 hp engine. Throttle is sticking. I don't think governor is connected correctly. Images would be great. Also need 23" brake cable for 3202

Hey, that’s what we say. Post some photos showing your issues. No telling what the previous owner has modified or Bubba-rigged. So it’s best (for us) to go from its present condition and not assume it’s stock. You can upload pics right to our site.

:welcome2:

Try BMI, Go Power Sports, MFG Supply, or heck, even Scamazon for parts (but you won’t get any customer service from the latter).

Owner’s manual is here: https://www.bmikarts.com/PDF/3202_D.pdf

The brake and throttle “cables” are tricky tricky being about 2/3rds steel rod and 1/3 flexible stranded cable… Good setup though, designed to last and resist abrasion, wear and tear.

Seem to recall several recent threads on the 3202 (or similar Yerfs) here…

Welcome to the forum. The go kart supply shops mentioned in post #2 are your best bet. You can always pick up the phone and ask for help if you bought something from them. I have owned 2 Yerf-Dogs and as hard as 5 teenage Grandkids have tried, they haven't been able to hurt them. Good tough product. You won't be sorry you bought them.

The accelerator cable was definitely not connected properly. The governor Arm was caked in dirt and grease so I removed it to clean it. I have the two spring kit from Tuckoosa. Neither spring from the kit was present. Just need to know how the accelerator cable is supposed to connect to the Takomah engine and where these two governor Springs go images would be nice if someone has pictures of how they’re supposed to look when installed properly
I am providing images of what I am looking at right nowIMG_0175.jpeg

This tech manual may assist, starting page 22, the actual number printed on the page:

@Sparkwizard may know as well. Check Youtube for Tecumseh OHV, OHH50 (5 horsepower) and up the engine sizes, they should all be relatively the same.

Edit: the thought of having to rebuild the governor linkages on many an engine gives me the willies.
This is an awesome manual. Thanks so much

Looks like the governor arm is missing from the engine.
yes, I have it. I took it off to clean it. It was caked in grease and dirt. It is one of the pictures I posted.

I’m trying to figure out how to attach the governor springs and clips between the governor and the butterfly and how to attach the throttle cable to make the accelerator work
