Yerf Dog 3202 New Project

Hey all. I'm Mike and I'm new to the community. I had an old Manco when I was a kid and now it's my 10-year-old's turn to have a project. Yesterday evening we picked up a Yerf Dog 3202 that was listed with a single photo from the front and noted as missing the engine and the wheels. My initial thought was, "Great! We'll get to pick our own replacement parts for the easiest items to customize." Upon arrival we realized the entire rear swing arm was missing along with the rear suspension components. I'm seeing lots of amazing info here, but I'm hoping I could run a quick survey for the first steps. Would you purchase a replacement swing arm from BMI Karts? Or plan to fabricate your own? I know I have a pressure washer Honda GX270 and a Predator 212 squirreled away somewhere. If I go with the GX270, do I omit the jack shaft?

Woohoo! Yerf-Dog is one of the best kart brands ever.

I would get a rear swing arm from wherever you can source it
I would only fabricate a rear swing arm if I was a master, or advanced fabricator
I would get the largest possible engine that can feasibly fit the frame, a 301cc or 420cc?
The kart needs the factory CVT/TC/Torque Converter and the factory jack shaft -- accept no substitutes

Welcome! How are your fab skills? I would also go with a 420. But I’m weird like that, I like the torque. It won’t go faster with a 420 but it’ll climb like a mountain goat over hills and trails.

For the cost of a 420, I'd step it up for a 460. One of the biggest you can get, save for the massive 625cc. This lacks electric start, but aftermarket support exists for engine mods.

The 460 was a design from VegasCarts, so not entirely sure on the manufacturer. The real bummer is, if you look closely, the block lacks the provisions to even fit a starter on there. Unless its buried in the shrouding, I'm not seeing the casted bracket.
