That is a cool looking kart.

the tie-rods and tie-rod ends are all generic, measure the tie rods, length and width, and order replacements, bmikarts, mfgsupply have them. Note that one end of the tie-rods have reversed (left-hand) threads.

Steering Issue

It seems there is a steering issue. Turning to one side provided full lockout...the other side about 1/2. The arms on the spindles were a little boogerd up so i took them to work and heated them and bent them back. But now the angle of those are not in proportion to the angle of the part on the bottom of the steering stem. The part on the steering stem has 3 holes in it. Does the angle of this and the angle of the arm on the spindle have to be the same? This is for a 7 yr old little girl who is dying to get a shot at it!

that bottom part is called a "pitman arm":

I have never seen one like your's. I have only seen arms with one bolt hole that both tie-rod ends attach to. Perhaps your's is a home made part. The sharp corners on the part lead me to believe this. You can weld on a replacement pitman arm, $3.95 from bmikarts.

If you can cross over the rod ends on the pitman arm ( right one goes to the left hole and visa versa) this should straighten out your steering. 1 tierod will be on top and 1 on the bottom of the pitman arm.

I wouldn't do that it might make it so your wheels are straight but when you turn corners I think it would make the outside wheel turn sharper then the inside, and that's the opposite of what you want.

What about a drag link system? a bar that goes from both spindles and then a link from the pitman arm to on of the spindles?
