Neighbor know I was looking for another kart and after helping him find a atv that was stolen from his yard he told about a kart a buddy of his had left at his house and that I should be able to get it for $50. I looked at it and its missing the clutch and wheel gear and band brakes. Call the guy and offer him $30 and he like I will call you tommorow to meet and get the money.

I get my son who is 6 and he can fit this kart and it looks like it has an adjustable seat. Did not have time to do more then glance over it because of the ATV walking out of neighbors yard today I spent this evening (after we found his atv) making room in my shed so that both my karts can go inside.

First pic of of my other project. Going to start work on it next week...needs scrub brake pads welded back on and new throttle cable and some maintenance on engine but it runs.

Other pics are of the new one.

Went to pay the guy today for the cart ... (he was storing it at neighbors house) and he gives me a clutch . Its says max-torque and it has the number 8 on the back.

So how do I determine what sprocket for the wheel do I need ?

The fun part is going to be in getting the correct sprocket and fitting everything together. In looking at how everything currently sits everything needs to shift over about an inch.

the sprocket on the clutch can face inward towards the engine like this...

I plan to take the motor off and make sure that it is flat as at a glance it appears there may be something under the engine that may have it leaning slightly.

Also where can I find a wheel with a mounting plate on it ? As in looking at the drive side wheel on this cart its missing the plate that the spocket should attach to.

Well, it looks to be #35 chain, so getting a sprocket should be CAKE!
