Looks really good for $150, just needs a little cleanup like you said, but I see it has a little bodywork, if you ever wanted to mount newer bodywork, margay has this cool conversion nerf bar kit.

true it came with a wing one wing yes one lol on the right side funny thing is i have never seen them made out of metal before all the others are plastic.I can not seem to find a bar that goes from the brake to the peddle the older one bend and then snapped off so its not good anymore.I just also rebuilt the carb with a kit i had laying around from one of my older karts

And to avoid what happened to the last one it would probably be best to heat it before bending.

I'm no expert, but I believe the end of that metal bar is threaded, so he would have to buy a piece that is threaded and then bend it.

that is the stock one it rusted and broke through.
how hot like red hot or with a blow torch kind of hot ?

Preferably red hot, then let it cool slowly. When you bend metal much you work harden it (makes it brittle) and can also put little micro-fractures in it where it can essentially start 'tearing' from.

An even better (but maybe overkill) option would be to use a clevis on the end of the rod. It would improve the strength, durability, and probably braking feel over the current setup.

What metal should i use brass aluminum or steel .Wont aluminum bend stretch and break if i use it .

Are you making any progress on this kart, I think it would be really cool when it's finished.
