Hello, I'm Aaron. Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm currently working on an XRS 150 that I'm going to try to get Street Legal. I am in the process of putting a new wiring harness I got from Go Powersports on it. All new street tread tires, I'm waiting on my new CDI, Stator, Ignition Coil etc, then in two weeks I'm planning on getting a Predator 670 to put on it, then after that a heavier duty CVT and FNR gearbox. Anybody have any suggestions? I've never really screwed around with these too much and am all ears.

Good luck street legalizing a gokart.
Why put money into an engine when you have plans to upgrade to a different engine family altogether?
Can you weld and fab up the new mounts for said upgrades?
How about some pics of what you have and we can help from there.

if its Utah or Idaho seems like they let almost anything be street legal.

Howdy &

I'd suggest researching the LSV (low speed vehicle) laws in your state
...so, you know what the requirements are
...& so, when you present it for review, your vehicle will (hopefully) meet those requirements

&/also,

Evaluate/compare the strength & capabilities of an XRS 150 chassis to those of a full-size car chassis
...or even to vehicles like an Aerial Atom or Arrow

ATVs, if the XRS qualifies, might be legal in his jurisdiction if the criteria are met. Many of them have lights, mirrors, seatbelts, turn signals, horns, decently fast….
