IDK - My grandfather drank Lone Star and kept it on the back porch. He only kept a few refrigerated for company- so I don't know how much I can trust a German palate in the beer department. :cheers2::lolgoku:

My family never drank beer on a daily basis. Maybe cause my mother hates the way it smells, describes it along the lines of "horse PEE" And that's must be why I find beer repulsive.

Now whisky... oh wait, I'm under the U.S. drinking age.. So it "Smells good" :)

Lets get this over with before it starts. I don't think you can beat a single Scottish malt. If you have ever had a good one (and we're talking about at least $100 US per fifth) nothing else really comes close.

Personally - I use a lot of Kentucky Gentleman-....medicinal purposes only- you understand.

Well, the "smell" of johnnie walker green label is pretty good... it's not +100..

LOL- England is full of Friesenhahns I guess. For an English man he sure had that German accent and a full command of the language down-it was English he struggled with at times.

Lone Star is a Texas beer brewed in San Antonio Texas- you know- the "Lone Star" state? Texas' answer to Milwaukee's Best. You can freeze it and it doesn't taste any better. At south Texas outdoor temperature it makes Fosters taste like the best beer ever. It makes you want to wash away the taste with a shot of kerosene. :ack2::ack2::roflol::roflol:

:ack2::ack2::surrender: I've seen it, but never tried it; if it's as bad as you say, I'll thank you in advance for the heads up. As far as US domestic brew's go, I like Rolling Rock (used to be a small private label out of Pennsylvania); it USED TO BE reasonably priced before B******** bought them out. And don't get me started on Uni****.

As far as imports, Uriquell is great, with Heineken and Becks fighting it out for second. I personally like Pilsners and light lagers and ale's; anything dark, with a rank, vile odor and taste I'll only buy once. And don't even get me started on the wannabe "Master" home brewers; it's easy to make a batch of dark, heavy brew that burns the taste buds out of your head after one or two sips; it's a whole lot harder to brew a light, crisp, tasty beer that you can drink for the enjoyment of the beer alone......

:confused::confused: I don't think Rolling Rock fits that description let alone Pilsner Uriquell , Becks or Heineken... Or were you referring to the cheap end of the US beer spectrum, where you get even less of what you paid for than springing for the decent stuff?:surrender::surrender::popcorn:

U won't find any Aussie beers outside Australia

Our market is way too small to get out into the world

Apparently there's more ford F250s in the world than Australians
There's only about 22 million of us

Sorry, was a little slow, thus missed adding the quote [FIXED]

And NO, Pilsener Urquell is one of my favourites! (Krusovice, another czech beer is a tiny bit tastier IMO)

Heineken and Becks I'd call 'average' ;)

Don't say that, Tooheys, Coopers and Victoria are available around one or two german shops..
and of course that F-in-O stuff ;)

I thought this thread was about getting crazy behind the wheel and living to tell about it. What's beer got to do with it? Oh wait- never mind- carry on. ....

:funnypost: It's been theorized that the most common last words of a Darwin award winner is probably "Hold my beer, I want to try something" as well as "Hey guys!! Watch this!!!!"

Quite enjoy Heineken

There's nothing wrong with Becks or Heineken,
but personally I like just a little more... uhm.. character
(like a bitter hop note)

One thing I still consider stupid on wheels, was when I was around 22 or something and hasn't anything to do with beer ...
Let me start a little earlier, Back in the eighties, I had the most beautiful BMX bike ever made: a chrome/blue Raleigh Burner.
And after modifying it with pegs, a rotor, a three piece crank and what else I thought was necessary for some flatland driving it was stolen.
That broke my heart and I quit; mainly because I couldn't afford another Raleigh Burner not even a used one, and I didn't wanted anything else.
That's when I started skateboarding..

Then ten or twelve years later the germany skateboard company Titus sold out a chrome flatland BMX Bike (Nosebone)
and I got me one, not nearly as beautiful as my Burner but okay,
I mounted a Dyno Handlebar and took it for a ride...
I must say I was never really good in BMX trickery but I wasn't all that bad either, and after some bunny hops, footjams and other rather basic stuff like that I felt confident to try a footjam tailwhip
---
clockwise footjam tailwhip:
you jam your right foot in the fork, stopping the front wheel, lift the rear end, raise your left leg, spin the frame clockwise around the front, get your right foot out of the fork and your left foot in, catch the rear end and ride away.. done

---
that's the theory...
but I couldn't get my right foot out, and the frame hit my leg pretty violently; of course I lost my balance and landed right on my coccyx
(tailbone would have been a better name for that bike)
I honestly couldn't even sit for about two weeks, I felt like my pelvis was completely shattered to pieces.
And since then the Titus Nosebone sits in my basement,
next to my late 90's Powell & Peralta Skateboard (different story).. nearly untouched.
I drove it two month ago just to get from A to B;
namely our regulars' table back home (the only beer connection).
I wouldn't even consider trying it again... I'm too old for all the pain.
