Would suspension be a must if traveling on the sidewalk at 30+ mph?

I'm referring to this kind of sidewalk, not the kind that requires manslaughter to complete.

No it is not necessary, but you sure would be more comfortable. Lots of padding in the seat would help also.
Mr. Police Man if he sees you will not be your friend. You might want to carry bail money and tow truck money. He will impound it and you will end up in court. The judge will be very cranky and mad at you. You could face fines or community service or both because they have no sense of humor. Public parks are also a bad idea for the same reasons. Empty parking lots are your best option or a friend with a lot of land is even better.

Really sounds like the voice of experience, doesn't it? I live by a saying, "Always ask the natives." That holds true whether asking for directions , asking your doctor, basically asking anybody who knows more than you do about a thing, or asking somebody who's been dere done dat. (See post above.)
Would the motor and the other components shake themselves apart when there is no suspension? Thanks!

Chances are that only OCD people like me worry much about vibrating things apart when driving, that being because most of the vibration comes from the engine. Staccato impacts of rough sidewalks on a rigid frame aren't the same as steady humming vibrations from an engine, which mainly causes nuts/bolts to loosen up.
Standard maintenance procedures for your kart should include a good visual inspection every time you're about to drive off in it. Missing nuts, things hanging or out of place, bent things, leaks, etc. Going further, a physical shaking , knocking, pulling, even kicking the tires, etc. all over stuff isn't a bad idea when looking for what can't be visually detected, at least often enough to be safe.
OCD me buys nuts/bolts in box quantities, with 2 nuts and a lockwasher for every 1 bolt. Why? Because OCD people don't have as much doubt when every bolt has been double-nutted tightly together wherever it reasonably can be, so that there's no way it could vibrate loose. Don't even have to inspect it regularly, but OCD people will anyway, we can't help it.
