I picked it up for $150. Not sure what I will do with it yet though.
It's in rough shape to fix it up but it turns over with good compression. I may use the motor for my yet to be built shifter cart.

Well it runs, not sure what to do with it yet but it runs. I jumped the blown fuse and it started right up. It only runs with the choke on though.i need to pull the carb and give it a good cleaning.

Well, I tore the carb apart and gave it a good cleaning, I also drained the fuel tank and filled it with fresh gas. It still only runs with the choke on. I tried messin with the idle and air/fuel settings but no luck. Any idea?

Im assuming the petcock flows well? fuel filter maybe? If not I'd double check your cleaning on the carb, make sure you pull out the main and low-speed jets and clean them very well. (use some carb cleaner and a chunk of wire, brush em out with the wire and spray thru with carb cleaner to get rid of loose gunk.)

Sorry, its a 1986 Honda fourtrax. I did pull the jets, sprayed them with carb cleaner real good, poked wire through them, sprayed them some more, held them up to the light to make sure there was no blockage ect...

Never mind, just went out and tried it again tonight and it purred like a kitten.

Keep ti as a quad 'till you find/ score something nicer to replace it. It's always nice to have something ride when the project isn't working out as planned.

Actually, I think I am about to earn the easiest $200 ever. I paid $150 and am about to sell it for $350 here in a few minutes hopefully. Its got an automatic clutch and I am not intersted in puttin any money into it to make it rideable.
