What’s the worst kart (or motorized vehicle) related injury you have experienced/seen? It could be riding or in the shop working on it. To be clear, this is for posterity, I’m not trying to discourage anyone.

Nothing Kart related, but plenty of motorcycle injuries. Besides multiple broken bones, got a finger between the chain and sprocket after a crash. Fortunately it went all the way around quickly. Still have a mangled finger to prove it.

That doesn’t sound like fun, you’re lucky to have that finger. How long were you in the hospital?

Nothing bad ever happened to me. I’m not discouraging some kid who is afraid to try. Besides God looks out for Idiots and Fools and I am both!
Well it is good that He does that for us, because we’d in trouble if not! In the world of power sports karts are pretty safe… especially compared to quads!

Never anything with the karts. Grandson put one over on its side once, yeld for some help, we righted it and off he went. Later that day noticed his helmet was scuffed up pretty good on that spot.

Seat belts and roll cage did their job. Also kept his hands on the steering wheel
( inside the roll cage ) as instructed so no skined arms or pinched fingers.

Reckon the the best toy related one was back in like 81, had just finished putting a new chain on my 1972 mx250 for next hare scramble..decided to show off for all my dad's army buddies drinking a and grilling in backyard, piss on the boots, gloves, chest protector and helmet....
T-shirt, shorts, black socks (dad's hand me downs. He always wore class A's at work) and my favorite BMX shoes (not vans, hated them)

Well you know the the engine sprocket guard I forgot to install? Yup...planted my foot goosed the ole girl..and...zing,zing,zing...o_O loose sock straight into chain, it pulled my ankle in and I proceeded to crash.

Wobbled over to dad's and reckon we need to go to er again...

Nope! The base surgeon said nah, wash it off and we'll wrap it...cool.

The look on mom's face (ER nurse) as she walked through the house of drunkin soldiers to see her son sitting on the counter with this
Colonel washing my foot in the kitchen sink was priceless :sifone::ROFLMAO: she was pissed $*>&^$@!!! We are getting rid of that %$#@ thing....we didn't I raced a few weeks later in the blackwater 100
