If you do a live axle conversion, you should get a Torque converter, that'll really let that beast roar.It makes me want to do a conversion on my cart too,i wish i didnt have so many projects,i just started a complete rebuild on a 1989 Polaris sprint snowmobile, its a 340cc twin(2 stroke) i plan on boring it out and porting it,also adding twin slp expansion chambers and possibly dual 38mm Mikuni roundslides.I might start a new thread with some pics

I've been considering Torque-A-Verters but not sure if I can adapt it to my one wheel drive setup. I don't want to spend that kind of coinage for something that may or may not work. What shaft sizes can they handle?

Ironman, I see your typed words, but I don't see any action going on. Don't worry Russ, he tried to race me too. :roflol:

I'll forgo this drive system for now. I like to keep things simple.
OK, I'll give you a 200 foot lead to make it fair.

Ill race you off the line, with dads "cart" sandrail w 1800cc air cooled VW+4 spd stick, I will even try to be nice and only use second gear. His 250cc hearth snowmobile engined minibike (goes 55 and makes hat in a little over 10 yards) would probably come close to out running you as is but a higher gear ratio and win is for sure. This guy is nuts, need to take some pics of his toys he never plays with.
