Might trade two of my FL250's for an Fl350 project. Driving from Portland Oregon to Carson city NV. The top end to the engine will done for me in the deal I hope.
This is the basic info I have.
I'm doing three top end rebuilds and for Duneit and in return for all my labor which includes pulling the engines and doing a complete check of each Ody, he has given me an fl350 that is partially disassembled. I haven't taken a complete inventory of it yet but it appears to be all there except it is missing right side universal joints. He did also mention that it needed a rear shock which I have a spare. I have not taken the Engine apart yet but from what he says it is at 78.5mm bore. Not sure on this one because he told me the previous owner told him "All three Odyssey's are 78mm bores and no one had touched them". I found one of them had been bored to 80.5 and had been torn apart several times and rode hard and put away wet! Right now it doesn't have any wheels on it but I have a mixed set that I can give to you to get it rolling.
I would love to see you take this bad boy and do a restoration on it! That was my original intention to do for my daughter. Her boyfriend Kolby (Ridindirty) and I were going to do a restoration on it for her. I don't think she's going to want to do this because her and her boyfriend are going to have to pay for supplies and parts and she *****es about money constantly. I can just here her now when I tell her she has to do a bore job on the Engine! LOL It is her son that I was looking into getting the FL250 for.
Early in the deal but it's not CL BS. Good standing member/engine builder on pilotody dot com.
I have $1200 total into both these Ody's
Wish me luck. I have been trying years for a deal like this. Nobody wants to trade down to fl250. I never have $2000 grand to buy a project. And never have $3000 to buy a runner. This deal with give me a fl350 and still have my three challenger Odys.
Would you do it? Have not seen pics of the Ody yet. 10 hours each way.
