Hey guys I was wondering if any of you guys had some electrical advice on how I am going to hook up my winch to my tractor. I have a plow and I'm sick of lifting it up and down with the lever, so I designed a winch system for it, but I have no clue on where to hook it up to. Here is the link, I haven't bought it yet just in case it doesn't fit. Thanksss!

My tractor is a Husqvarna yth22v42ls which is a residential mower... :mad2:

the wiring is easy.. just get a winch wiring/install kit..
they generaly come with enough wire, and a solenoid.

what it boils down to, is a winch is kinda like a geared down starter motor, and ya know how much those thigns draw... now run one continuously.. lol big power draws.. lol

and i would recomend getting a fairlead.. doesnt look like it has one.. ???

also, the winch mounting plate is 23$ there.. i would get one.. make you life so much simpler...

For your purpose, you don't need anything particularly fancy. I don't think you need to spend the money on a fairlead, as you're only going to be using the last few feet of cable at any time. Fairleads are most useful when using large amounts of cable, feeds the cable neatly onto the drum.

By the looks of the setup, you don't need a wiring kit or solenoid, either. I have a very similar one that I used for a similar purpose- just wire it up to the battery terminals and go.

A mounting plate of some kind will be needed, maybe you could just make one...

shouldnt be hard.... just wire it up to the battery the red and black wires.

if it wont bolt up right i bet we could weld some kind of mount/brace to it.

we should race when i get your old tractor working lol
