70 amp is a bit on the low side. It might just do most of the stuff, if you bevel all the weld surfaces properly. Here, for that money, you can easily get a new 140 amp stick welder, which is what I have.

Like modelengineer said 70 amps is a little low, but it may be suitable for thin guage metal, just make sure you remove any rust from the joint you will be welding.
If you plan on other projects it would be worth the extra money to go ahead and get a higher amperage stick welder.

If you have welding experience and are welding light gauge metal this may work. I have the same welder and have used it for steering and frame modifications without fail.
