why do you have to take the plastic governor out of the engine internals? why not just disconnect the linkages and make a new tghrottle linkage set-up?

is that a theory, or has that actualy happened to somebody?

oh it happens. the governor is designed for 3600rpm. So any where above that(after bypassing) can cause it to explode.

If your thinking of removing it, just remove the internal as well. better safe than sorry.

Both. If you are intimately familiar with the internals, you can clearly see the why's and how's. Some engines are riskier than others. And, yes I did suffer an internal governor failure, and was dead lucky that I managed to avoid serious engine damage. Pure luck.

ide be ok if you only did short burst of over 3600k, i bypassed the governor and i do shorts burst of like 5k. but its not a long term solution.
