What a load of junk. I am surprised his wife puts up with it. He will never be able to do anything will all that stuff. Classic hoarder.

He actually uses a few things in the photos. In picture #3 there is a white pickup truck with a topper. This is his daily driver. Also, you can see two car dollies and two trailers. All 5 of these items are used for hauling more junk home. So you can see it's not all worthless.

By the way, I spotted another wheelchair before the more recent addition in the trailer, but I'm not sure you can see it in these pictures. I think it's somewhere near the big barbecue grill made from a tank.

He has a lot of crap there, but I'd be happy if I could just have that grill.

Here's another view of the local junk man's yard. Go to Google, click "MAPS". Search for Osceola School, Osceola, MO. Then click for satellite view. When you see the school, look for a perfectly rectangular pond a couple hundred yards south of the school. Just south of this pond is the junk property. The corner of the property is at the corner of SE 50 Road and State Highway WW.

I never realized this, but the junk goes way back beyond what you can see from the road. Apparently he parked a lot of crap back there decades ago, and then the trees grew up around everything.

That guys got a goldmine in scrap... Wouldnt mind going through a place like that to get part to build stuff outa. Never know what you might find.

Yeah, that's what I said. I've lived here 3 years, and some of the locals have told me that he won't sell anything. My wife works as a substitute teacher at the school sometimes, and she sees his wife once in a while. I should ask her to ask his wife if we could possibly hook up with some usable junk.

I tell my boys (age 12 and 13) that they will soon see the day when the guy dies, probably within 20 years, and the place will likely be cleaned out.

On your google map window, search for 3406 S 30th Rd humansville, mo. It will show you a spot where there's nothing, so scroll north about a quarter mile. That's the local scrap and junk car yard where I find ten dollar mini bikes. There's one section that's about 5 acres of antique cars. Unfortunately most of them are pretty badly deteriorated.

Just out curiosity, any 50s Dodge trucks?

Not a lot of pickups in the antique section. Mostly cars. I could check next time I'm there, though. What are you looking for?

My dad had to rob the camshaft out of a running 241 V8 engine to replace the one for his 241 Hemi. I think it was 54 when Dodge had the first V8 in their pickup.

We dont necessarily need one, but I think he wouldnt mind having it.

If its not a hassle, and if you dont mind. If you could take a peak?

Man and I thought my neighbor was bad...he just collects beat up cars and stuff..He has a collection of old push mowers, bikes, and random "art". He has this thing out front and it's a horse with a dual exhaust coming out of its butt..I have no idea if that is one of his "art" pieces or if it actually serves a purpose..he also offered to buy my kart...not gonna happen all its gonna do is sit there and rot next to all his mowers.

This reminds me of a story co-worker of mine told me about his childhood, long before Google Maps. His dad worked for the highway department and he got old arial view maps from their office. He pieced them together on his wall like a wallpaper of all his stomping gorunds. He had pins pushed in all of his "finds" with a number that correlated with a notebook he kept. He claimed he had over 40 model A Fords mapped out atone time.


I plan to write a juvenile adventure book based on it one day.
