Any two seater vehical with a tray is a ute
Invented by Holden
As the story goes a farmers wife went to Holden and said she wanted a vehical to take the pigs to market on a Friday, and to go to church on Sunday
They made the ute, Aussie ford were working on the same idea and introduced there version a little later
They were a hit with farmers abd tradies
Then some smart bugger figured u could combine this idea with a 4x4 and u get a vehical that carrys a big load and goes anywhere, the pickup

That story related to Ford in the early 30's. This was just as the great depression hit. Banks wouldn't lend farmers money to buy 'passenger' vehicles. They would lend for 'working' vehicles. This is pretty much how they became so popular.

True story, however, I heard Ford try to take the credit the other day...

Well considering Ford were the inventors of the ute! (Coupe utility vehicle) I think they have every right. :roflol:

Here you go:
Kids aren't as interested, they just play on their Xbox 360s all day long.

Because of stupid US regulations. In the US, you need:
To make the product green
Meet emissions
Parts
Paid Workers
Unions
Government bullcrap

In China:
Children
Parts

Much simpler - not that they should be using children, but it's easy there.

In China, they don't have to worry about patents and lawsuits.

BTW: Japanese cars are better than American and Australian Cars (which are the same things.)
American just buys Holden's **** cars.

The 1925 Model T Runabout shared the exact same chassis and basic bodywork as their regular car models.
They just cut the trunk (boot) area off and installed a bed, just like Holden did years later...

REALLY??? For the record, the U.S. workforce is one of (if not the) most efficient in the world. Don't blame the workers when the front office is using the argument "We're making money right now, but if we move to [ insert what ever poor country HERE] we could make EVEN MORE!!!!

While there are some American cars that are best forgotten we build some of the best trucks in the world. Compact, mid size, full size, over the road, and we have the people and know how to build almost any conceivable specialty rig.

Just my two cents worth.:devil2:
