Hey you could take this to the Klondike and Mine every Summer!

That Propane tank is the one I use for my house. Fills to a max of 24.5 gallons.
I use it to cook on a stove and oven for a family of 5, Also for the 40 Gallon Water heater.
It lasts about 6 Weeks.
Not too difficult to load in and Out of my Truck to fill.

Propane is 4.2 Lbs per Gal. So 24.5x4.2=102Lbs Propane.
But the tank empty is 70lbs.

I agree, But he did mention 16" Shed on 20" Trailer so there is room For a big Closet.

Also thought about extending 16" of the loft on each side. So imagine cabinets along the top of the living area. Tucked into the corner where the wall meets the roof.

Or making a "closet" loft above the front door, but I like walking into an open area.

Have you ever seen the 8x32 or 8x40 fema trailers. Almost bought one for 2000.00 at one point. They cost more if there fixed up like 6,000 to 8,000. Just a thought. I really like the 12x40/44 model homes. Lived in one for a while. Would not mind having one and even had a chance for 5500.00 at one point. See if you can find one. They don't have grey/black tanks but there setup to live in.

I heard they sent a bunch of those to Loisianna after Katrina and they were toxic due to formaldehide.
It was a huge govt waste. Hundreds or thousands of trailers went there and were never used and they sat in a lot and rotted!

Might be some truth to that. Auctions said my have it so they should be tested. I think it was in the insulation. I know a lot of people where and probably still are living in them in the oil field. That's where I seen them and could have bought some. They brought a bunch of the mobile home ones up when the town I was in flooded. I lived in one for a while. Not the best thing but functional and cheap with big showers, full size stoves and refrigerators.

What's a 2x4? like $2.50? Give me 80 of em for $200 bucks and some sheathing for $200 and some plywood, shingles, siding.. And Got to be cheaper than 6k? to build this shed

Might be about $4 for 2x4. I could live with a shed house that's 10'x14'x20'. Have about a 10' ceiling from the bottom floor then have nice vaulted ceilings in the living area above. Nice wood burner stove. Just the house a line would cost about $6k. Add all the amenities that make it home would easily cost another $15k. But you figure about $60k for nice bit of acreage and $21k for the home, under $100k would be nice.

No way could my girlfriend want to live in something with under 1000sq.ft, but it'd be great for a hunting cabin or even a work shop, long as you don't mind leaving your tools upstairs and only having limited bench space.

I haven't thought about a tiny house on wheels nearly as much as a tiny cabin up on our property.My thought was to use it with as few modern luxuries as possible to see how minimal we can go.
We have a nice home up there but it would be a challenge to go rustic and others might want to give it a go for the weekend.

Of course modern windows, doors and insulation would be used but candles or oil lamps for lighting, a hand pump water supply, a wood burning stove to cook on and for heat as well as a rock yard barbecue .I'm thinking a cellar underneath for ice storage (an ice house) and have a ice box on the main floor , so yeah go to the lake and cut blocks of ice and store them all summer (if possible)

You know...go back a 100 years or so and see what it took to get us here.(thinking prepper training)

So going back to the first page, those fridge/freezer say they can run on LP/propane...can anyone divulge on that for me? My dad said LP can be used as a refrigerant (as can ammonia), but doesn't that still require electricity for it to flow? Can't find anything explaining the mechanics of it, short on going to a dealer for campers/RVs.

If you want to get real fancy and buy it all at once, look at Ice Castles. They are permanent ice fishing houses (meant to stay on the ice all season), they have a kitchenette, wood or ventless LP heater, bunks or fold out beds, table, and already pre wired for battery and generator. Now at least in Minnesota they do not have to be licensed. Insured yes, but no license. Can be had in 6'6" wide or 8'6" wide and 10-20+ feet long. Usually built with individual axles to lower it on ice or ground. Plus you can put a camper style A/C unit on the roof.
