Nope... Acetone, HHO, 'electronic stabilizers'... it's all snake oil and urban legends. If it really worked, everyone (including car and gas companies) would be all over it.

Acetone can actually clean injectors/carburetors/valves a bit, but aside from that it generally just eats up some plastics and rubbers.

As for the CO2 couplets you got your hands on... I'd recommend buying a crosman 2240 or 1077

I love my 2240, and with a suppressor it's incredibly quiet for how powerful it is.

yeah they were small enough to put in my pocket. my paintball CO2 tank isnt allowed to be filled because its like 10 years old and the paintball company needs the date of manufacture because supposedly my tank is unsafe now.

Ok, those were probably used in an airsoft pistol. And that's crap. We have tanks of gas for aluminum and steel welding at school we found that were last checked in the late 70s and they're holding hundreds of pounds of pressure since last being filled over 30 years ago and have these crazy looking, old glass-mercury (I assume) regulators on them and they work fine. They're on one of the MM140s for MIG welding with either the spool gun or regular gun.

Paintball tanks have to be hydro-tested every 5 yearst. Ive seen some nasty pictures of tanks splitting open.

Back to the Nitrous oxide... A friend had used them N2O in his Goldwing. He had taken a seltzer device from a hobby brew kit, used a hose to the carb I believe, and he said it was pretty cool effect, albeit short, but none the less. Better with the whipping nos than whipped cream cans.

With real nitrous oxide systems you're pretty much injecting straight liquid into the manifold/intercooler/wherever you decide to. And that liquid then expands to a massive volume compared to what it was. All in all you'd be getting very, very minuscule amounts into the engine.

From there you have the concept of how it actually works - for one, the expanding liquid to gas cools the intake charge dramatically (for higher density). In this case 99% of the cooling would go straight into the can walls and whipped cream. Second, when the nitrous is heated (as in during the compression stroke) it releases oxygen, which allows the engine to burn more fuel. Meaning it would need to have the carb pumping in more gas or a separate means to deliver it.

Not to mention the change would be incredibly easy to fake.
