Hi all, just picked up a manco 6hp dingo for my nephews. The engine needs a new carb but there are two different designs that match my engine. One has a primer bulb and the other has choke adjuster.

Mine has the choke adjuster but i was wondering if the primer bulb is the better option?

The engine is a tecumseh 6hp OHH60

Any help is appreciated.

Here is a pic of mine

The new ones look like this

carb

I have had both, and I think with out the primer works better.

If it was my engine I would want one with a choke and a dual adjustable carb needles. This way you wont be fighting the lean cold blooded starts that are common to these engines.

Look for a carb that fits an older Tecumseh HS 50 engine and you will be set.

If only we could figure out what bowl nuts and idle restrictor jets could be swapped for larger ones to fatten the mixture up on these so called "lousy" EPA tuned carbs.

The bowl nuts are numbered and Im pretty sure the higher the number, the richer the mixture will be.

The idle restrictor jet however, needs to be drilled out ever so slightly but Im not %100 positive on this.
