I got myself a champion 196cc engine which has a 3/4 shaft. I'm trying to find a proper clutch to use with my 415H chain but the only one I managed to find was quite pricey. I did however manage to find another clutch but is advertised to fit a similar chain and through my google searches it seems like it would work. My question for the go kart professionals is if a #41/420 clutch work with a 415H chain.

now #41 and 420 are identical in regards of outer dimensions. (420 has bigger pins and is stronger though)

NOW 420 and 415 are close sibblings, the only difference is that 415 is narrower between the plates.
(shorter rollers)
namely
420 has a 7.77 diameter X 6.3mm Roller
415 has a 7.77 diameter X 4.7mm Roller

so 415H is 1.6 mm narrower chain... (1/16")

What you can do is buy the 420/#41 clutch
and in case the 415H chain does bind because it's too narrow,
just buy 420H chain instead, it'll fit the rear sprocket good enough..
it's not a snug fit (1/16" too wide) but other than that it fits just nicely.

Hello and welcome...
Im curious as to why you chose a 415H type chain as it is not at all common??....
Most would be dealing with is #35 and #40/41 and there is plenty of selection out there for these...

I noticed you selected a .CA site...
Are you in Canada???
There is a few places here to get more common stuff...

Not sure why exactly, ended up buying a random chain off of ebay. I am situated in Montreal Canada and if you would know of any shops or stores I can go into in person then it would be greatly appreciated :cheers2:

The Princess auto has chain and clutches... They are pricey... But it's worth it...
Look out for the deals... They come not as frequent as they should...

You can always order from their website straight to your door. Or just buy stuff from Amazon and it'll accomplish the exact same thing.

Ya the Princess is not too bad to order from.... best to get a few things as that maximizes the shipping costs...
There is the amazon, and that is good but only on a prime account....

There is also kartworks... but they kinda charge a premium.....
