Where inspiration comes from

So, I'm sitting here and thinking about aircraft. No special reason, I don't fly (although I'm sure I can) but I got to thinking.

Since this is just a bull**** area, I thought I'd post a pic of aircraft that have inspired me. Some of which, I've actually been in, or seen in action for real. Those being: The Ac130 and in action, the A10.

A few words about these two.

The A10 is one of the most formidable close attack & support aircraft to date. While old, it can take a beating and with the GAU-8_Avenger (the minigun... which isn't all that "mini" at all) will scare most folks when you see one fire in person.

The Ac130... it's just death from above and can wipe out a small city all by itself.

Anyway, a big pic of aircraft I love.

I like the "space age" flair the sabre has with it's muzzle..
and the corsair is an icon, just as a curtis p40... (not in your picture for unknown reason )

I like the A10 Warthog too. Not only really tough but also has a lot of interchangeable parts. And I wouldn't want one after me......

I am not really into fighter planes, but I love what they are capable of doing in flight, and the speeds they can go. Their manouvarability is also amazing

I have vested reasons to agree with you on the UH-1H. Gotta love the Huey! Though, I prefer the AH-1S. Same exact rotor system and tailboom with a more streamlined fuselage but still interchangable parts out in the field.

Speaking as a machinist who used to work in Aerospace, I've made bits and pieces for a couple of those...
