Anybody familiar with the carb butterfly actuator mod in the picture?
Its on my daughters cart, would like to use the same set up on my sons. I prefer it to the standard lever type, I guess I could fab one from washers etc.....however if anyone knows where you can source these I have been unable to find them in any searches.

That would be a custom piece... Interesting...
However... I'm curious as to how you keep your choke open or closed... There is no lever.. Also you need a filter for your valve cover...

well, carburator with throttle cable pulley are sometimes found on automotive carbs..

that one there looks indeed home made, but similar things are available if you know what to look for
that'd be
"throttle cable pulley"

here's a keihin one from a Kawasaki for example

or a Honda CB..(closest match I could find:)

but just check google to find one you like ;)

Thanks for the responses.

I would never have called it a pulley as by definition it isn't really acting as a pulley but as an actuator wheel.

I had come across pictures of other modded Honda engines with the same wheel and hoped it might be readily available. The pulley fits directly over the plastic portions of the carb and it isnt a sloppy fit at all. The set up works well using one return spring rather than a mounted arm, springs, rods etc...

Thanks again for the input.

Its kinda still begs the question......

I think that's partly disassembled currently (air filter housing etc. removed to get a good view)
And that's also why the lever and hose are not present.

I can't tell for sure.. but that's how I "understood" the pic at least ;)

Actually Mckutzy is correct the intake housing is in place, machined alu. adapter to mount an angled cone filter. There arent any covers removed anywhere the cart is an older Birel with a gx200 clone set up as a junior kart. The choke has two detent stops on it, you can physically move the small lever with two fingers albeit a little stiff, to make it easier for start up I just carry a stubby screw driver in my pocket when the kids are running the kart. The same set up minus the pulley /wheel exists on my other Righetti Kart....choke lever is as you see in this picture.

Sorry forgot to add....the valve cover....... i'm just in the throws of adding a pulse pump and will use the opening for a fitting to see if I get a good draw from there.
