I am not too sure how much they would be over there by you, but they are not too expensive. Maybe $12, but I am not sure. Just google it for a price.

Is that the price of the pillow block, INCLUDING the ball bearing itself (like in the picture) ?

When I bought pillow blocks a year ago, I paid R75. That works out to $8.90, or 7.17 euro. I think you got robbed of 50 euro. Look online, hardware stores, engineering shops (like ones that sell all types of sprockets, bearings, chain etc). Maybe you just bought in the wrong place

I get mine here:

Not sure you should use pillow blocks on an axle, I dont think they can handle side load. The bearing might pop out when you go around a corner.

Think about it, old race karts used thick sheet metal plates to retain the bearings, surely a well made pillow block would be much stronger than that. I really doubt you would have to worry about them popping out

Those are my top 2 sources. I usually try to find a pack of 2 on ebay. The lowest price I have paid so far is $15 for 2 ($7.50).

You should have pretty good luck finding something cheap on ebay, but if not, vxb will definitely have what you want.
