when i turn the choke off and press the gas my engine diea

Ever since I put a new air filter and exhaust on it has stopped running off of choke. It runs Good with choke on but Im not getting full rpms someone please help.

Try running it on the half position for the choke. That is just a temp fix. I think it needs a different jet,(others will chime in soon) as there is more air flow to the carb, I have the same prob on my bike.
Im guessing this is a clone engine? if so this is what works for me.

thanks man that helps. do you know what jet I would need. im unsure what jet I have now. im running a 212 predator

it depends on alot of factors

what type of filter
what make of filter
what exhaust
what engine
age of engine
altitude
weather on the day
and so on

the best method is to get a few differant sizes then go from there
u must install each size till run runs about right
then read the plug to find exactly which one is the best size

alternately u can buy a very small set of drill bits and drill the jet out 1 size at a time
