I tried to take the weels off of my Ariens 1024 snowblower, but I can't get them off!! :censored:
They are a little big for what I want anyway, but for future purposes, does anyone know how to take them off? It almost seems as if they are welded to the axle!A
Anyone have any great ideas where I can look for some sturdy wheels +tires (preferable with the hub installed already)? I looked on EBay and found some golf cart rims, with tires, no hub, for $15 a piece. Is that a decent price?

Thanks,

TJ

If your lookin for golf cart rims and your willing to deal with used tires already on them you can try going to a golf kart shop. Golf Cart shops down here in Florida are always stacking them till its time to recycle or trash. I picked up 12 in one trip that were going to the dump, had good tread on them to boot. :wai: The bald ones make nice 16" tall slicks, lol. If they have a big pile just look for matching ones, not all tires are created equal, some are bigger or smaller.. And when you kill the tires (should take a while unless they are really dry rotten) rip the tires off and save the rims for some balloon knob tires. Oh, and the darker black the rubber is the better. I had 2 that were more gray then black and its b/c of the dry rott...

As far as the wheels on the blower being welded chances are that you not getting them off without a grinder and even then you might not want them.. my 2cents
