Wheel spacers

I have a off road buggy with 13" wheels problem is they hit my suspension when on, and I think I'd need about 20mm spacers,would I get away with using flat spacers or would u say I'd need hubcentric. Thanks in advance

That depends on your current setup; can I assume you have wheels that bolt to a hub (otherwise you wouldn't ask about hubcentric spacers)?

To diagnose a problem &/or find a solution to a problem, we need a lot more detailed information; pics also help (a picture says a thousand words).

Repost with more info & pics & we'll go from there...

Okay- so when you say "13 inch wheels, you mean automotive style, 13" diameter rims"- gotcha. You could try shopping for rims with less backspacing (greater offset). What other options have you got? Longer axle? Relocating the suspension?

There's not much else I can do to the buggy itself, the axle is infact driveshaft from a car with car hubs, the safer thing would be to buy hubcentric I'd say

Are the hubs hubcetric, or studcentric? Whatever they're supposed to be, go with... That said, at DIY kart speeds, either one would likely be okay.

Hubs are hubcentric but if I put 20mm spacers on it will take the centre away, leaving 4 bolts taking the stress

Would u say that would be fine?

For a homebrew kart-type thing? I think so. As long as the bolts are tight to the spacer, and the spacer tight to the hub (no spans). The best solution there is to bolt the spacers to the hubs, and have the hub holes drilled again 45* apart and those are used to bolt the wheel to the spacer- so that you don't have long bolts tying everything together.
