Wheel/Rim help needed

I have a Carter super wheels go cart frame and am in the process of putting it back together. I know it came with 13x500x6 tires. What I would like to know is what other wheels can I put on it? I like the Douglas black aluminum wheels. Will they work on this cart? I am keeping it as close to stock as possible other than the wheels/ tires and engine. It will be driven on & off road. Any help is greatly appreciated. Here is what I am starting with.

User error

simple solution that works on DIYGK:
use tapatalk on your mobile device,
post via tapatalk upload pictures via tapatalk (selcet upload images to forum!!)

the thing is, the browser you are using renames the image from your camera to "image.jpg" always.. and ONLY "image.jpg"
so the second image overwrites the first and so on.

Get an updated browser (use a different one)
OR simply use tapatalk (it renames the images anyways)

The first thing you need to do is measure the diameter of the stub axles. Next up, you will need hubs, at least for the rears; some front wheels come with integrated hubs but, the rears will be a bit more difficult as they will need to fit the wheel, fit the axle & hold the sprocket & brake drum, I'm not too sure how you'll go finding one of them...

I thought that would be the case. Is there anything else that will work besides the ugly steel wheels? Guess it shouldn't really matter since the kids will be driving it and may tear them up anyway. I can always paint the steel wheels black. Easy touch up as well. How do you measure the axles? I want to make sure I do it right the first time around.

Vernier calipers.

Do you have the nuts for the stub axles?
-If so, take them somewhere that sells nuts & bolts & match it to a bolt, that will tell you what size it is.
-If not, take one of the front spindles...

Looks like your left spindle is bent....Should be 90° like the right one....See what I mean?

Fabroman - I don't have the nuts for the spindles. Guess I could take the spindle in since I need the lock nuts for them anyway.

Poboy - I hadn't noticed that. Since the right one is rusted I thought about replacing them both.

Going to order the wheels and tires tomorrow. My daughter wants to help pick out the parts and help install them. Going to be a fun project. I'll start a build thread once I have all of the parts. Thanks for the help guys.
