Well for all that know my posts, I have a yerfdog 3203 gocart, I had the sprocket stuck and wouldnt come off. I mixed up a mix of some piink lube/grease stuff, Soap water in a spray bottle and PB blaster. I got that sucker off! It only took 5 months!!! Not to fully get the sprocket off the axle i have to get the broken wheel bearing off. UGH! Can you say annoyance??!? Now i have to get a toal of 1 60 tooth sprocket, 1 wheel bearing, Brake drum, and those daggum weird clasps things that hold stoff on the axle. (sigh) back to work! Thanks to all on helping me! I will be updating with photos in the progress of making my dune buggy !

If you dont have one already, buy a 4 1/2 inch angle grinder. Buy a metal cut off wheel for it and cut the wheel bearing off. If your axle has a key-way, cut it off at the key-way as to not knick your axle.

Much easier :)

Ooohh i could do that! Oh wait no no i couldnt. Doesnt have a keyway. What kept it from moving was thos pesky rings i dont know the name. But took those off still wont budge. Im going to keep soaking it for a few days :)

Go slow and just cut it off. Cut it down to just about the inside of the race, then hammer the cut with a punch or chisel, it should break and be aloud to pull off.
Or use a torch and heat it red( the race not the shaft) and use a punch and hammer it off the shaft.

If u are careful u can just cut it off

A small nik in the axle won't hurt it

Otherwise use an oxy torch
U can cut the bearing off without touching the axle
Sounds odd but the heat won't jump the gap between two but of steel

Those rings are called cir clips, lock rings or snap rings
