Wheel and axle

Okay so I really need to know how to connect my wheels to my live axle. Every single wheel and wheel hub I can find has bearings built in, which is really frustrating because I can't have bearings if the wheels will be fixed to the axle.

Those are Front hubs (or dead axle hubs). Keep looking, they're not hard to find. Every kart parts supplier has them.

But how do they attach?

Typically they just have a plain hub with a keyway, slides on the axle.

what sixe axle and is it keyed? if its 3/4" you can use most any riding lawnmower or snowblower wheels

I'm using 1". I do have keystock, but will that stop the wheels from sliding off the axle?

Not on there own. usually there is a set screw to hold the key in place. If not(unusual if so) use two shaft collars, one on each side, to hold the key in place.
