The carb on my gx340 has some kind of electrical crap on it, I don't know what is is, and I am curious. Can somebody explain that that is hanging off the bottom of it?

Looks like an injector of some sort? Looks interesting, I'd like to know as well.

its a fuel shutoff solonoid, when a power source is on-it will open to let fuel in. They are on all kinds of chinese generators, engines and some hondas

And almost all john deers its a safety feature incase the spark cut off doesnt work. just get the bolt that goes to that bowl and get rid of the solinoid.

Yep, unplug the leaky POS, buy the bolt from a engine parts dealer, and swap it out for the bolt. Be sure to add in a manual shutoff too.

Crap, engine wont start :(.

Any experts on these solenoids and how they work? I pulled the solenoid and welded the hole on the bottom of the small bolt shut. I assumed that the pin on the solenoid dropped down to allow fuel flow, and lifted to plug the fuel inlet, was I wrong?

BTW, i checked and the engine is indeed getting spark, no issue there.... It has to be fuel.
