I'd be more concerned about the actual breaks in the gasket.

:iagree:

So when the engine goes to suck in more air and gas. It just getting air through unsealed gasket. No gas?

Some gas, just not enough. If you try the gas in the spark plug hole and the engine fires, I'd be willing to bet thats the problem. If it still doesnt, that points to poor compression or no spark.

In the process of getting new gaskets. Just for the carbuator. Sound good?

I checked and I do have a spark. I wouldn't say its the brightest or strongest spark but it was defintly enough to be able to work. My next ideal is that gas is not getting to the engine. So how can I see if gas is getting to the carbuator and the engine. I jiggled the fuel line a bit and and I saw bubbles come through the fuel filter.

I just checked it and there is gas in the carbuator. I unsrewed the foat bowl screw and gas started coming out. But still need to try gas in spark plug hole.

did u clean the carb?

try the tea spoon first

I bought the carb used off of ebay. And the seller told me it had been sitting for 6 months and that I should clean the jets. But I haven't cleaned it yet. Shouldn't it work since theres gas in the float bowl?

no

the jets are tiny little things that acctually mix the fuel (i think)

but the long shot is u should clean it and use a peice of wire to clean the jets

that is likely your problem

Smoke is gone.. I think. but after a couple of seconds of it running like maybe 10 seconds the muffleler is too hot to touch. Is that normal?

Well, it is supposed to get hot...
I can't remember for the life of me- Excessive muffler temps. Too rich? Valve issue? Dang. Sorry.

How can I fix this? The only way to get the engine to start is to push in the choke rod all the way. It doesn't have enough movement in the gas pedal.
