What is a 5hp briggs worth, in running condition?


i have a 5hp 1995 model, i picked it and a go kart up for $50

Most of my 5hp's were free.
Most I paid was $30.00, and the only reason I paid that much is because it has points ignition.

Im working on it rite now, but it will start on 1 or 2 pulls.
wont idle, have to keep it running with carb butterfly, real rich rite now.

Why did you want points ignition? Is it because it signifies age, or you prefer it?

Depends on your perspective, if you want something that's reliable and easy to start then yes. If your a stubborn bastard then no.
