I need a chain breaker...don't want to have to take to store to get a link out lol.

Only would get used maybe once a month, so no need for super high quality.

Suggestions?

I have this, which I just used for #420 too. I grind the end of the pin off the chain before using the tool.

Performance tool chain breaker tool. Basically the same as the above link.

I initially used the lower linked tool and found they are crap... Bends the heck out of the chain, can't reassemble the link back, so chucked it in the back junk drawer... I think I bought 2before I got the much better PT tool.

Thanks guys. No I was saying taking the chain to the store everything I want to get a link added/removed gets old so I want to buy one. It will pay for itself after a few uses.

The first one looks nice. I'll shop around some and get back with y'all on my findings. Wanted a baseline to compare it to

Are you using #420? I don't remember if the punch on the tool works with smaller chain.

I don't even grind the heads, just punch them...

Thats what I do too. If its real nice chain I try to tape off the adjecent bits to keep the grit out.
