I need a chain breaker...don't want to have to take to store to get a link out lol.

Only would get used maybe once a month, so no need for super high quality.

Suggestions?

Performance tool chain breaker tool. Basically the same as the above link.

I initially used the lower linked tool and found they are crap... Bends the heck out of the chain, can't reassemble the link back, so chucked it in the back junk drawer... I think I bought 2before I got the much better PT tool.

Thanks guys. No I was saying taking the chain to the store everything I want to get a link added/removed gets old so I want to buy one. It will pay for itself after a few uses.

The first one looks nice. I'll shop around some and get back with y'all on my findings. Wanted a baseline to compare it to

Tsc. If youre still using a punch you either havent tried a breaker or are easily amused. Or so broke you shouldnt have a hobby.

I understand the punch and hammer is the time-honored way of doing it... but I had no idea you were such a tool snob, brother.

I surrender. :surrender:

Meant to update this...tool works very well for the price. I would definitely recommend it for the every now and then use!

Got photos?

You shoulda done an unwrapping photo series. How big is the thing, like in your hands? Ungainly? Tool-box size?
