Hello I'm am interested in selling my go kart but I have no clue how much it is worth. I see similar karts selling for 300 on craigslist but they are usually stock motors no modifications any ideas.

Looks like you've got a Fun Power motor, probably a Cool bore (aluminum), is the rod billet or just new style? What cam is in it? Is the carb 'worked' or just stock? Ken-Bar Streaker, 1WD, band brake?

The motor is a Briggs flathead as for all the parts I have no clue they were all given to me by a friend but the carb is a racing carb that's all I know about it

Not to offend you, I would not touch it. I dont trust peoples engine work. Its 1wd with a tiny tire with a 5hp. Only good for the road and with the "Raptor" pipe the cops would get called. And centripetal clutch. Mine with a 3hp 1wd had no traction. With a 5hp no way.

I think $300 is a fair price. on pavement i bet the 1wd isn't that bad at all.

even a full "raptor" engine would still be a "flat head".

karl, centrifugal clutch!!!!!! yes a centrifugal clutch does incorporate both centrifugal and centripetal force, centrifugal force is what forces the clutch shoes out against the drum which activates the clutch, giving it its name. centripetal force is what would be trying to force the shoes back to the center. the springs, and (when engaged) the clutch drum.

Ya I meant centrifugal but I spelled it wrong and hit the spell check and I dident notice it was the wrong word.
