Decided to keep the minibike and just sell the 4 wheeler so I'm going to finish the Stroker and run it on gas for a bit, of course I'll end up tipping the can to it, so we'll see what happens to a Stroker built with all honda parts (with the exceptions of the crank, cam, and valve springs) when I throw the sauce to it a little bit on down the line.

Also, you may remember the really tight Pisto to head clearance it had when I modded it. Well, the piston has clearly been kissing the head. I'd say the 10.8 valve springs saved me from collapsing the top ring land by not letting it rev any higher than it did.

Got the motor together and rode it a little last night. It's showing serious signs of detonation, so I went and picked up 5 gallons of 100ll and a few different heat range spark plugs. Tuning should commence this weekend on petroleum based fuel. It'll go back on the sauce, just not quite yet.

Messed with a while tonight. Ended up adjusting the timing by eyeball in frustration of the fact that I just couldn't get it to run like I thought it should. Put in a new plug, ripped up and down the road a couple of times and killed it. It runs a lot better, and the burn mark on my ground strap says the timing and heat range on the plug is about right.

I screwed up and drilled the main too big, debating on jet kits or a mikuni ATM.

It could be argued that I am, I'm really a very laid back person. If it don't directly affect me, I could care less what's going on in the world. I just do my own thing.

Working on figuring out how to put a GX120 head on my 160 (196 now). It looks like there's going to have to be some welding and machine work done to make it work, but I'm game.

I also polished the combustion chamber, yeah, you can't see in the ports for the paper towels, but that's on purpose.

Shipped the briggs to Dover power for machine work, porting, going to just have them upgrade it as much as posible and build it for me. Not very DIY I know, but I decided I was better off having someone who knew them better than me solve the mysteries of that engine. I talked to Jerry on the phone an he clearly knows his flattys, so I'm yielding to superior knowledge. Billet flywheel and alcohol tillotson are to be installed too. We'll see how a full open mod flatty runs on nitro.....

For those that aren't aware, I bought a limited modified go kart with a built, but blown up briggs and stratton 5hp flathead. I took the Stroker off the minibike and put it in the go kart. The briggs is going to be the new power plant for the doodlebug.

Oh I will, I'll keep thrashing on the clones, but this one is for some semi local minibike drags I've found. Only two races a year, but should be a blast. I'm freaking stoked. Should have enough woopow to take most of them to the woodshed now.

Did you see?
That is Thor's Engine. It better be fast 9200 RPMs and strikes opponents down with lightning bolts.

It should be wicked. Jerry Dover personally built it for me just for drag racing my minibike and his motors run and win at the national level all the time. There's a lot of respect for that guy in the kart racing world. He treated me right on the money too.

I had to opt out on the lightning bolts, couldn't afford them.

I can't wait to ride it.

While dropping my trash off at the local waste management I noticed a broken razor scooter. I asked about it, and the guy that runs the place gave it to me. I now have wheelie bar wheels :D
