What Welder

I have been wondering about what welder to buy but I have decided to go with a mig. Bearing in mind the only experiece I have is reading the welding haynes manual and seeing other people weld. I would be welding reasonbly thin stuff for go karts and mini bikes. What ampage do you think is needed?
BTW I dont want to spend too much.

Flowerman, If you don't have 220 in your garage/shop, then the HF 90 amp will suffice for pretty much everything you should need to do on a kart. If you do have 220 then the link above would be a decent affordable choice for you.
